Tsfat is gearing up for its annual Klezmer Festival. This year, the 30th festival takes place from August 22-24. There will be dozens of concerts by world-renowned musicians on five outdoor stages. The stages are all within easy walking distance – just follow the enchanting cry of a clarinet or the wail of a violin. Concerts begin at 8pm and end at 1am. There will also be lots of goodies to eat and crafts to buy. | Specialized Tours of Tsfat By day, the city offers a selection of fascinating walking tours led by professional guides. Tours leave at 11 am and preregistration is required. International Master Classes Don’t miss out on the International Master Classes. Led by maestro Eyal Shiloach, these classes offer young musicians a chance to learn with leading artists from abroad. |
Workshops plus concerts of chamber music, jam sessions and orchestras will take place from August 16 to 22 in three locations. Drop in on a concert. They’re free but be sure to get there early.
